Features Guide to Success in 2025
It’s been a great year, for Gloo and for your ministry. We’ve spent this past year rolling out new features that help church leaders like you do everything you need to succeed: now you’re set up for success in the new year.
In case you missed them, here are our newest (and most loved) features from 2024.
Gloo Communication
To build strong relationships in your church, you need to communicate, and, in 2025, the most popular way to communicate will be with text. With Gloo Messaging, you can easily send texts to your people, creating stronger connections in your community and building personal relationships. It’s always been easy to get started with Gloo Messaging, but now, with all these new features, it’s never been easier to connect with your people—all while saving time and stress.
Workflows & Menus
Workflows combine several old Gloo features into one seamless experience that allows you to create personalized pathways for your contacts. Each Workflow is triggered by a keyword and can be designed to send texts, add or remove people to groups, send email notifications to your Gloo Team Members, and more.
Menus are available under Workflows to create a list of options to take next step actions—create interactive menus so your people can choose their own path. Simply craft your question, set up the options along with the corresponding actions, and watch as Gloo automates these processes seamlessly!
Messaging Templates
Templates make it easy to focus on connecting. We rolled out two batches of messaging templates this year: some for broadcasts and some for workflows.
With Broadcast Templates, you’ll find an array of pre-made templates that are ready to be customized by you and sent out to individuals, groups, or your whole congregation. You’ll find popular message templates like an invite to Christmas service, a request for prayer requests, sermon follow-ups, and more.
Meanwhile, in Workflow Templates, you’ll find automatic workflows for signing people up for ministry communications, new visitor follow up, giving automation, volunteer recruitment, and more. Simply choose one of these common paths, connect it to an action your community members will take, and let the template do the rest.
Integrations
We know many leaders using Gloo for their ministry already have their own systems from before they found us. It’s important that Gloo works with all of those other systems.
Gloo now integrates with seven popular church management systems: Hubspot, Planning Center, Church Community Builder, Mailchimp, RockRMS, Ministry Platform, and Salesforce. This will automatically populate your Gloo account with contacts.
If you don’t use any of these databases, you can still upload a CSV file with all your contacts.
Recurring Broadcasts
Now you can set up recurring messages to send to your whole congregation or to a specific group: like a weekly service reminder, midweek prayer prompt, or a monthly call for volunteers.
This hands-free messaging empowers church leaders to schedule regular texts or emails and set specific delivery times each week or month, saving time for in-person ministry.
Polls
With Polls, you can get real-time feedback from the people in your church community. You can create Polls in your account and have people respond live to questions on anything from sermon topics to trivia to the best date for the church picnic.
This innovative tool is designed to help church leaders like you connect with your community in real-time, gather meaningful feedback, and foster deeper participation. Whether you're looking to enhance a worship service or make decisions with your congregation’s input, Polls is here to transform the way you engage with your people.
Messaging Analytics
It’s important to see how your messaging is impacting your people—now you can be confident that your communication strategies are working with messaging analytics.
You’ll have visibility into reports on how your people are engaging with the content you’re sending out, and data to optimize how your staff and volunteers are responding.
You can track how your messages perform: opt-ins and opt-outs, Explorers received, subscribers, workflow steps executed, poll responses, and more.
Subaccounts
Subaccounts allow you to manage multiple ministries within your church from a single Gloo account. With one membership, you can create separate subaccounts for different ministries, each with its own unique phone number and contact list. This means your worship ministry, children’s ministry, church administration, and more can all have their dedicated channels for communication, making it easier to target messages and keep each group informed and engaged.
Church leaders also use this feature to create a dedicated communication path for different campuses, for event updates, and even to create a “personal” messaging link directly to the pastor of your church.
There are a lot of ways to use subaccounts, but the bottom line is this: with one Gloo account, you can create up to 3 subaccounts with their own numbers and contacts, to use however you choose.
Start 2025 on the Right Foot
We’re going to keep creating features that will help your ministry thrive. In the meantime, you can use all these great new features in 2025 to make it the strongest year your church community has ever seen—with more connection, more prayer, more time dedicated to faith, and more lives touched by your church.
If you want to take advantage of all of these features and more, sign up for Gloo+ to hit the ground running in 2025.
